Meet The Chef


 

  Paul Farmer has been Head Chef at Springfield House Hotel for almost six years, he has been a Chef for over 13 years and began his career whilst travelling around Europe and picking up work in restaurants. Upon his return he completed Level 2 & 3 NVQ at Blackpool and the Fylde Catering College and was awarded Student of the Year which was awarded to him by Brian Turner and Gordon Ramsey.

 

Paul attended college on his day off from work which at the time was at The North Euston Hotel, Fleetwood, he achieved Employee on the Month on several occasions and trained through the ranks to Sous Chef. Paul’s hard work and commitment was noted and he was the runner up for the ‘Most Up & Coming Chef in Lancashire’

Paul felt he had achieved all he could at the North Euston and moved on to the prestigious Gibbon Bridge, where he also started picking up baking skills in the on site bakery. His true passion started here as he saw such fresh produce, most of which was grown in the gardens.

Paul achieved his ultimate ambition of becoming Head Chef at the age of 27 when he took up his position at Springfield House Hotel, he strives for perfection in his work, not just in taste but also in presentation.

He meets the needs of the customers and has an excellent repertoire with the suppliers who source him the finest fresh local produce.

We hope Paul will continue with Springfield for many years to come.
